We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Associate to join our reputable law firm. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Assist in managing case files and maintaining organized records within the law office.
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings by gathering relevant information and documentation.
- Participate in negotiations related to estate planning, family law disputes, or other practice areas as needed.
- Stay informed about current laws and regulations across multiple practice areas such as securities law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, patent law, and litigation.
- Collaborate with team members on legal strategies and administrative tasks to ensure efficient case progression.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar or eligibility for admission shortly after hiring.
- Proven experience or familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Excellent legal writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document management and case organization is advantageous.
- Effective negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
