Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Associate to join our reputable law firm. The Law Associate will support senior attorneys through legal research, drafting, and case preparation, ensuring high-quality service for our clients. Prior experience with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is highly valued. This position is paid and suitable for candidates eager to grow within a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
• Assist in managing case files and maintaining organized records within the law office.
• Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings by gathering relevant information and documentation.
• Participate in negotiations related to estate planning, family law disputes, or other practice areas as needed.
• Stay informed about current laws and regulations across multiple practice areas such as securities law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, patent law, and litigation.
• Collaborate with team members on legal strategies and administrative tasks to ensure efficient case progression.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar or eligibility for admission shortly after hiring.
• Proven experience or familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
• Excellent legal writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document management and case organization is advantageous.
• Effective negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
