About the Role

Seeking a high-performing Family Law Attorney to handle complex custody, divorce, adoption, and DHR defense matters. This is a career opportunity for an attorney ready to own cases from intake to trial, deliver results in high-stakes litigation, and mentor staff while advancing their own career.

Responsibilities

• Lead contested family law cases through all phases: pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediation, trial, and appeals
• Conduct client strategy sessions and set/manage client expectations
• Take ownership of trial preparation and courtroom performance
• Manage depositions, mediations, and appellate work
• Delegate effectively to legal staff while driving case outcomes
• Consistently bill 30+ hours per week with high-quality work

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ contested family law trials as lead counsel (judge-decided)
• 5+ depositions conducted of opposing parties
• 3+ major legal research & writing projects, including at least one appeal
• 3+ mediations in contested family law matters (lasting half a day or more)
• Strong tech proficiency: Google Workspace, Clio, WiseTime, Westlaw/Lexis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Work Location: On the road
