Family Law Attorney

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its Teaneck office. This role will focus primarily on handling family law matters in New Jersey, while also supporting clients with New York–based matters. The ideal candidate will be licensed in both states and bring strong experience in family law litigation and client counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and related family law matters, with a primary focus on New Jersey cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other family law documents.
• Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances in both New Jersey and New York, as needed.
• Provide compassionate, strategic legal counsel to clients navigating sensitive family law issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide holistic client support.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in both New Jersey and New York (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of family law experience required, with strong litigation and client management skills.
• Proven ability to manage cases independently and work directly with clients.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
