Family Law Attorney

An established and well-respected family law firm in Durham is seeking an Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of family law experience to join its expanding team. Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, and equitable distribution.
• Manage cases from start to finish, including discovery, motions, mediation, hearings, and trials.
• Provide personalized legal advice and strong courtroom representation.
• Maintain consistent communication and foster strong attorney-client relationships.
• Draft and review pleadings, agreements, and other legal filings.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
• When needed, assist clients with estate planning matters such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing.
• At least 2 years of family law litigation experience required.
• Skilled in litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently while also working within a team.
• Background in estate planning is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Base plus incentive bonuses, with total earning potential between $110,000 – $150,000 depending on experience.
