DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a licensed attorney in North Carolina with experience in Family Law . The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, thoroughness, and diligence. Key responsibilities include:

• Direct, hands-on client interaction
• Managing client expectations during emotionally and financially sensitive matters
• Preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients (e.g., separation agreements, custody agreements, support documents, equitable distribution pleadings, consent orders)
• Drafting, reviewing, and executing documents in a timely manner
• Advising clients on family law issues, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support/alimony, equitable distribution, and related domestic matters
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings as needed
• Delegating tasks to staff and other attorneys, as necessary
• Ensuring compliance with all legal standards, applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies across areas of organizational responsibility
• Maintaining accurate timekeeping and prompt billing practices

ROLE IN FIRM:

• This position will use the job title “Attorney and Counselor at Law” for correspondence.
• The position is full-time.
• The position reports to the Managing Partner.

COMPENSATION:

The Attorney’s compensation shall be up to thirty percent (30%) of amounts actually collected by the Firm on invoices issued for matters for which the Attorney serves as the responsible attorney.

EDUCATION and LICENSURE:

• Juris Doctorate
• Licensed in good standing — North Carolina

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

• More than three (3) years of family law experience as an attorney is required.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and manage deadlines
• Detail-oriented

Pay: $50,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
