Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient / Traditional Practice (MD/DO):

Position Summary:
The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, continuity of care, and coordination with specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a clinic-based setting
  • Deliver preventive care including health maintenance exams, screenings, and immunizations
  • Manage chronic disease conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular disease
  • Perform office-based procedures consistent with training and privileges
  • Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, wellness, and treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services
  • Review and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiatives
  • Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and clinical staff as applicable
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility

  • Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
  • Ability to manage complex, chronic conditions in an outpatient setting
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuity of care
Work Environment:
  • Outpatient clinic setting
  • Limited or no inpatient responsibilities depending on practice structure
  • Call coverage as determined by practice needs
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout clinic environments
  • Manual dexterity for examinations and office-based procedures
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment
Requirements:
Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
