<Duties>
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols and safety standards.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, catheterizations, and esthetic laser treatments to enhance patient outcomes.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, discharge planning, and utilization review to optimize patient care pathways.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care for remote or underserved populations while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Manage complex cases involving critical care scenarios such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center experiences, including airway management and ventilator support.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics—including neonatal ventilator management—and behavioral health to address diverse patient needs.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance practice standards and healthcare delivery.
<Qualifications>
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with proficiency in acute pain management, chronic disease management, and preventive health services.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner or similar platforms for efficient clinical documentation.
- Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatric care), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; familiarity with assisted living facilities or nursing homes is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and infection prevention strategies within hospital or outpatient environments.
- Critical care experience in ICU or Level II/Level I Trauma Centers preferred; familiarity with trauma protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; experience with telehealth platforms is desirable.
