Family Nurse Practitioner

Growing Family Medical Clinic near Downtown Henderson is looking for additional Family Nurse Practitioners who are well versed in diagnosing, and treating various health-related conditions across the lifespan, as well as promoting good health practices. What we look for most in our nurse practitioner candidates is the ability, willingness, and education to perform all duties within their scope while overseeing our patients’ health with exceptional customer service. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is vital. As a Nurse Practitioner with our Family Practice, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills, and communication are important assets to our management. Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.)
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate records within the charting system
• Educate patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
• Oversee patients’ overall health
• Promote good health practices
• Advance professional knowledge and conduct research

Skills

• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER, or other settings
• Expertise in family medicine, Pediatrics preferred
• Knowledge of Preventative screenings
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics
• Team spirit with a positive attitude
• Patience and cool-headedness
• Able to handle high stress environment
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience

Qualifications

• Valid nurse practitioner license
• Valid, Unrestricted DEA License
• Excellent charting knowledge and ability
  
• Master’s degree;
• Bilingual: a plus
