Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including mental health evaluations, vital signs, and physical examinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
• Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications in accordance with state regulations.
• Offer counseling and psychoeducation to patients and their families to promote understanding and adherence to treatment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Tebra (Kareo) or Epic for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Experience
This position is tailored for new graduates or early-career Family Nurse Practitioners with a strong interest in behavioral health. While prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for mental health care and possess foundational knowledge in areas such as:

• Patient assessment techniques and clinical documentation standards.
• Basic pharmacology related to psychotropic medications and medication administration protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Tebra (Kareo) or Epic for efficient record keeping.
• Knowledge of mental health conditions across age groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
• Understanding of behavioral health interventions, crisis management, and triage procedures.
• Additional desirable skills include experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care, familiarity with telehealth platforms, and exposure to multidisciplinary team environments focused on holistic patient care.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
