Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician to join our healthcare team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose medical conditions accurately.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate preventive care, chronic disease management, and health promotion strategies.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms to document patient encounters, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Manage acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Coordinate care with specialists in psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and other disciplines as needed for comprehensive patient management.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, ostomy care, and basic life support (BLS) interventions.
  • Provide health coaching on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, smoking cessation, and disease prevention to empower patients in managing their health.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance practice standards and patient outcomes.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient services within hospital or clinic settings while ensuring adherence to NCQA standards for quality care.
  • Conduct triage assessments for urgent cases and coordinate referrals for specialized diagnostic imaging like CT scans or nuclear medicine procedures when necessary.
  • Stay current with medical terminology updates, CPT coding practices for billing purposes, and infection control protocols.
  • Support post-operative care and discharge planning for surgical patients or those transitioning from hospital to home or hospice settings.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a Family Physician with strong clinical skills across outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, pathology, immunology, and medical terminology essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform procedures including suturing, wound management, IV infusion administration, airway management techniques, and basic life support certification.
  • Experience working within hospital environments or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with specialties such as psychiatry, endocrinology (including reproductive endocrinology), cardiology (including catheterization), neurology (including neurocritical care), pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including senior care), and palliative medicine is highly desirable.
  • Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and culturally sensitive care delivery.
  • Ability to manage complex cases involving multiple comorbidities such as diabetes care or rheumatology conditions while coordinating multidisciplinary teams effectively.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
