Family Support Assistant
The Utah Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS) Cedar City and St. George office are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Family Support Assistant (Senior Assistant Caseworker). This role supports child welfare efforts by providing essential client services and clerical support to caseworkers and the broader team. Become part of a team of professionals dedicated to keeping children safe and strengthening families in our communities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with office tasks, and general clerical support.
Qualifications
Previous and/or current experience working for the Utah Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS).
Has worked with the State's social welfare database system, SAFE
Adobe Pro, Google and Microsoft experience.
Supplemental Information

May require 24-hour on-call services/time. 24-hour on-call services response time to be determined by the agency.
Department of Human Resource Management rules regarding promotions and transfers apply to current employees.
Travel required; you may be required to use your personal vehicle to perform the duties of this position; approved mileage is reimbursable through State Finance.
All DCFS job offers are contingent upon passing a Background Screening Application (BSA).
Must have a valid Utah driver’s license.

Physical Requirements
Moderate - Some of the work performed requires some physical exertion. You may be required to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend; crouch; stoop; stretch; reach; lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), e.g. lifting a small child in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
Working Conditions
Moderate Risk - Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g. safe use office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work, however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
