We are seeking an intern to aid us in auditing, measuring, reporting, and improving data quality of indexed records. This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.

This is a part-time internship for one year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and preferably located in the Wasatch Front in Utah.


  • Overseeing the work of visual audits from the usage of statistical sampling methodologies.
  • Working with volunteers and service missionaries to conduct visual audits and communicating the results throughout the organization.
  • Other analytical work

  • Familiarity with historical records
  • Indexing from a genealogical perspective
  • Written language expertise (for the reading of historical records)
  • Family History
  • Microsoft Excel (Formatting, formulas, VBA, and macros)
  • Reporting information using graphs, Tableau, PowerBI and SharePoint
  • Database information systems (SQL, DBeaver, and Dataflux)
  • Basic Statistics (Confidence interval, Tests of Hypothesis, Standard Deviation, and Standard Error)
  • Statistical Sampling Methodologies (Simple Random, Systematic, Stratified, and Cluster Sampling)
  • Language skills in multiple languages is a plus

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
