FamilySearch International, the largest family history organization in the world, is looking for a Production and Events 1-year intern. This individual will be involved in planning, organizing, supporting, and executing the production elements on the events team at FamilySearch, primarily for RootsTech, for both the online and in-person aspects of the conference. RootsTech is an annual genealogy conference that hosts millions of people online in over 11 languages. The event is enhanced by in-person experience with thousands of attendees, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Events team members must have high energy and strong personal commitment to meeting deadlines, serving the audience first, staying organized, and delivering with the highest levels of personal integrity. Event management requires flexibility and problem-solving skills in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Our team works hard and creates a fun and rewarding environment.
This is an in-person position, 4 days a week, at FamilySearch’s offices in Salt Lake City, with 1 remote day of work per week.
Assignments will include script writing, basic video filming and editing, RootsTech studio production planning, working with international talent, travel coordination, working with production crews, and managing tight schedules.
Try, learn, pivot - gather data, measure and analyze; identify key learnings, then try again using inspiration.
Bachelors Degree in experience design, digital media, film production, marketing, business management, communications, or other relevant experience.
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
