Farm Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain farm-specific electrical systems such as wiring, conduits, motors, generators, transformers, lighting, and control systems for irrigation and farm machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure functionality and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions and equipment problems using various testing and diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Test and commission new or repaired electrical circuits and systems to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.
• Adhere to national and local electrical codes and regulations, and participate in safety programs to ensure a safe working environment on the farm.
• Maintain thorough records of all electrical work, repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
• Work with farm management to align electrical systems with operational needs and sustainability goals, and collaborate with other team members.
• Interpret and read technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics to guide installation and repair work.
