Farm Hand/Laborer

Duties

• Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using hand tools and farm machinery
• Care for animals including feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring health and behavior
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment
• Manage animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning stalls, and ensuring proper shelter conditions
• Support irrigation setup and adjustments to optimize water distribution across fields
• Maintain cleanliness of barns and work areas while adhering to safety standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience supervising or leading small teams preferred but not required
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair or maintenance
• Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal husbandry practices
• Ability to operate forklifts, heavy machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely
• Familiarity with farming techniques including horticulture, greenhouse management, and growing practices
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feed rations
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, long hours outdoors, and operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and general farm maintenance procedures
• Experience with welding or other equipment repair techniques is a plus
