Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, hydraulic system checks, and engine tune-ups to keep equipment in top condition.
• Utilize schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely during repair or transportation tasks.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Assist with equipment assembly, installation, and calibration to optimize performance across various farm operations.

Skills

• Proven experience with dealership service environments or extensive farm machinery repair background.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, alignment procedures, HVAC systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex issues on heavy equipment.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and other fabrication tools.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance including tire service and brake repair.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repairs or maintenance needs.
