Job Description – Fashion Designer

We are seeking a Fashion Designer with expertise in both digital design tools and hands-on artisanal techniques—someone who can conceptualize, illustrate, and also execute sample handworks to bring unique collections to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development: Conceptualize and design luxury collections blending Indian craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes.
• Digital Design: Create technical flats, sketches, and digital illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and CAD tools.
• Handwork Sampling: Personally create embroidery and surface ornamentation samples (swatches in zardozi, gota patti, dabka, resham, sequins, etc.) to test ideas and guide artisans.
• Mood Boards & Research: Prepare trend boards, color palettes, fabric stories, and embroidery layouts to support collection planning.
• Prototype Collaboration: Work closely with sampling units and master artisans to translate digital concepts and swatches into final garments.
• Collection Execution: Oversee the process from ideation to production, ensuring luxury finishing and Zaribari’s brand standards.
• Styling & Campaign Support: Collaborate with styling and merchandising teams for lookbook shoots and presentations.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

• Strong creative vision with a balance of artistic heritage and modern aesthetics.
• Skilled in both digital fashion tools and manual sample creation.
• Hands-on understanding of embroidery stitches, fabric manipulation, and ornamentation techniques.
• Eye for detail, precision, and impeccable finishing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with artisans, karigars, and design teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Couture.
• 2–4 years’ experience in luxury fashion or ethnic couture.
• Proven proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD.
• Strong knowledge of Indian embroidery techniques and couture-level finishing.
• Portfolio showcasing both digital designs and handcrafted sample works.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
