Role Overview

Scaleup is assisting its client in hiring a Fashion Designer with 2–5 years of experience in women’s luxury and prêt wear. The role requires a blend of creativity, technical depth, and strong awareness of current fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Design seasonal luxury and prêt collections, including silhouettes, prints, embroidery, and detailed embellishments.
• Build mood boards, research trends, and develop compelling design concepts.
• Coordinate closely with production, merchandising, and pattern-making teams to ensure accurate execution from concept to final sample.
• Create professional design presentations using Canva and related graphic tools.
• Oversee fittings, sampling, and refinement to maintain design intent and quality.
• Conduct trend and fabric research to support seasonal direction.
• Maintain organized design documentation and tech packs.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2–5 years in women’s fashion design, preferably luxury and prêt.
• Education: BS in Fashion Design.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio featuring apparel design, prints, embroidery, and final garments.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong understanding of current trends, styling, and mood board development.
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving skills throughout the sampling and production process.
• Capable of managing multiple design tasks and timelines.

Skills

• Strong concept-building and creative development abilities.
• Proficiency in Canva and essential graphic design tools.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, embroidery, printing, and finishing techniques.
• High trend sensitivity and the ability to translate research into design direction.
• Organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
