Fashion Designer

Responsibilities

• Design and conceptualization: Sketch and develop new clothing.
• Trend research: Study fashion trends and market research to anticipate future styles and identify opportunities.
• Material selection: Choose fabrics, colors, prints, and trims that align with the design concept and seasonal themes.
• Production oversight: Create technical drawings and specifications and work with pattern makers and manufacturers to produce prototypes and final garments.
• Collaboration: Work with other designers, marketing teams, and production staff to refine designs and ensure they meet business goals.
• Presentation: Present design ideas to clients, managers.

Required skills

• Required minimum 2 +years experience
• Creativity and strong artistic ability
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and materials
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator and CAD programs
• Understanding of the entire production process
• Excellent visualization skills
