Duties

• Develop original fashion concepts and design sketches that align with seasonal themes and market demands.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create detailed technical drawings and mood boards.
• Prepare CAD (Computer-Aided Design) patterns for garment construction, ensuring precision in sizing and fit.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development, fitting, and final production.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to select fabrics, colors, and trims based on color theory principles and current trends.
• Conduct fabric sourcing, garment construction testing, and quality checks to ensure design integrity.
• Stay updated on fashion retail trends, styling techniques, and industry innovations to keep collections fresh and relevant.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fashion design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD software, and product lifecycle management tools.
• Solid understanding of garment construction techniques, sewing machines, and sewing processes.
• Knowledge of fashion styling, graphic design, illustration, and color theory fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret trend forecasts into innovative designs that appeal to target markets.
• Familiarity with merchandising strategies within the fashion retail environment.
• Excellent sketching skills along with experience in theater or costume design is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly across teams and stakeholders.
