About the Program

New York Life’s Accelerated Path to Sales Management is a structured path to leadership, designed for experienced professionals ready to build a financial services practice and move into management. With proven training, a Fortune 100 brand, and clear promotion milestones, ramping to $150K–$250K+ in 2–3 years is realistic.

Hybrid Work Structure

  • 3 days remote, 2 days in-office at our Wayne, PA hub (after initial training period) - Office is in the Wayne/Radnor area of the Main Line.
  • Candidates must be within commuting distance

What We’re Looking For

This is not entry-level. Strong candidates bring:

  • 3–5+ years of success in sales, business ownership, or client-facing leadership.
  • 2+ years of direct management experience with direct reports.
  • Commitment to building a long-term career in financial services.

Your Career Path with New York Life

Year 1 – Financial Professional Training
You’ll start as a financial professional, learning our products, building client relationships, and meeting specific production and licensing requirements*. You’ll gain firsthand experience with our digital tools, award-winning training, and client engagement process.

Transition to Management
After meeting requirements in your first 12 months*, you’ll enter a specialized six-month Associate Partner training program, preparing you to lead and coach others. You’ll use your industry knowledge and client-facing experience to help your team succeed.

  • Comprehensive training in marketing, business development, recruiting, and client relationship management.
  • Ongoing mentorship and leadership coaching from senior managers.
  • Access to specialists, experts, and digital tools to prospect, market, and serve clients effectively.

Product Solutions

You’ll learn to offer a wide range of solutions to help clients reach financial goals:

  • Life insurance, annuities, long-term care, and disability income insurance.
  • Investment products (mutual funds and more) through NYLIFE Securities LLC (member FINRA/SIPC).
  • Fee-based financial planning and investment advisory services through Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser

*Licensing and production requirements must be met prior to promotion into management.

Compensation and Benefits

  • First-year income target: $100K–$150K
  • Managers often reach $250K+ by year 3
  • Compensation tied directly to production and team performance
  • Average income among our 639 recruiters payable in 2021 (based on 2020 production): $240,300
