F&B Cashier

We are looking for an organized and friendly Restaurant Cashier to manage all front-of-house financial transactions. In this role, you will be the final point of contact for our guests, responsible for accurately processing payments, handling cash, and ensuring everyone leaves with a positive impression.

The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a warm, welcoming attitude even during peak restaurant hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Transactions: Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly upon arrival or checkout, thank them for their visit, and address any final questions or concerns.
• Order Taking: (For fast-casual/counter service) Take guest orders accurately, repeat them back to confirm correctness, and input them into the kitchen system.
• Cash Drawer Management: Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift, ensuring all receipts, gift cards, and cash totals match the POS reports.
• Phone & Takeout Orders: Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate takeout or delivery orders, pack orders securely, and ensure all condiments and utensils are included.
• Issue Resolution: Handle guest complaints regarding billing discrepancies calmly and professionally, involving management when necessary.
• Station Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked checkout area (receipt paper, menus, bags, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience as a restaurant cashier, retail cashier, or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Math & Accuracy: Strong basic math skills with a proven track record of handling money responsibly and accurately.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with electronic equipment and POS software (e.g., Toast, Square, Clover).
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication and listening skills to interact effectively with both guests and kitchen staff.
• Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of time at the cash wrap or counter.
• Integrity: High level of honesty and reliability when dealing with financial assets.
