Position Title: Food & Beverage Manager

Location: United Arab Emirates
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Director of Operations / General Manager

Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all F&B operations while maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, profitability, and guest satisfaction. The role requires compliance with UAE hospitality regulations, Dubai Municipality Food Safety standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities1. Operational Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of all F&B outlets (restaurants, bars, lounges, banqueting, room service, catering, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth service flow, guest satisfaction, and timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering, receiving, storage, and waste control as per HACCP requirements.
  • Ensure all F&B areas comply with UAE food safety regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality Food Code, Abu Dhabi Food Safety guidelines).

2. Financial & Business Management

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to meet financial targets.
  • Analyze sales, labor costs, and profitability; implement strategies to increase revenue.
  • Control P&L performance of all F&B outlets and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead menu engineering and pricing strategies based on market trends and guest preferences in the UAE.

3. Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Maintain exceptional service standards aligned with UAE hospitality benchmarks.
  • Handle VIP guests, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
  • Ensure a strong focus on Dubai Tourism/DTCM service quality guidelines where applicable.

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Recruit, train, and supervise F&B team members across all outlets.
  • Conduct regular training on service standards, food safety, grooming, and UAE cultural sensitivity.
  • Implement performance evaluations and develop staff succession plans.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to HACCP, ISO standards, and Municipality inspections.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards for both staff and outlets as per UAE Food Safety Code.
  • Oversee health & safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk assessments.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef, Purchasing, Events, and Front Office teams.
  • Coordinate with Marketing for promotions, seasonal events, and themed nights.
  • Participate in management meetings and provide operational reports.

Skills & QualificationsEssential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of F&B leadership experience, preferably in a 4–5 star UAE hotel or high-volume restaurant group.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE food safety regulations (HACCP, Municipality guidelines).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.

Preferred

  • Experience with POS systems (Micros, Oracle, etc.).
  • UAE-based F&B certifications (HACCP Level 3, PIC certification for Dubai).
  • Multilingual skills (English required; Arabic advantage).
