F&B Assistant Manager
The F&B Assistant Manager is a key leader within Draft King at Casino Queen’s Food & Beverage department. This position will be responsible for the supervision of all food and beverage team members for an assigned shift with the goal of delighting every customer. Responsible for performing all duties according to Draft King at Casino Queen policies, procedures, IGB guidelines, local and state law, and Internal Controls. Required to provide a safe, clean, environment for patrons and team members. Provide a safe, clean, environment for patrons and team members.

- Keeps a service-first mentality and ensures all team members are meeting and exceeding our service standards and guest’s expectations.
- Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
- Provide positive and informative pre-shifts and other staff interactions ensuring the team is knowledgeable, prepared, and engaged.
- Ensure customer service standards are met and retained.
- Must be always friendly and courteous.
- Accurately balance cash drawer daily.
- Ensure to complete daily reports, audits, and checklists in a timely manner.
- Effectively manages, supervises, trains, directs, coordinates, and disciplines (if necessary) food and beverage employees on assigned shifts.
- Ensure direct reports receive constructive coaching sessions either formal or informal as needed.
- Respond to guest complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
- Prepare the Food and Beverage budget and monitor department performance to same.
- Monitor quality of service, food, and beverage.
- Create and update shift schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations.
- Accurately track team members attendance, behaviors, and performance.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this job including days, night overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successfully work side by side with their team, other managers, and chefs to ensure all daily operations are properly executed.
- Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leader.
- Must proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of similar food and beverage experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED, required.
- Food Handlers Certification is required.
- Must be able to work Weekends, Nights, and Holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License
