The F&B Café plays a vital role in this experience by providing families with quality food, refreshments, and great service in a clean, child-friendly environment.
Role Overview
The F&B Supervisor (Café) oversees the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth workflows, excellent customer service, and compliance with food safety standards. This role supports menu development, supervises staff, maintains inventory efficiency, and ensures a welcoming and hygienic environment for children and families. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and experienced in leading café or F&B teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Setup & Operational Preparation
- Assist in planning the layout and workflow of the café kitchen to support smooth operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for the installation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are operational, safe, and compliant with standards.
Menu Input & Culinary Improvisation
- Work with management to suggest menu options aligned with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Encourage staff creativity by introducing simple recipe improvements and variations.
Staff Recruitment & Training
- Support the recruitment of café staff, including cooks, baristas, service crew, and dishwashers.
- Develop and conduct training programs focused on food safety, service excellence, kitchen protocols, and hygiene.
Operational Planning & Supplier Management
- Create and maintain café SOPs, checklists, and workflow processes to ensure consistency.
- Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, ordering schedules, and supplier relationships.
- Implement waste reduction and cost-control strategies.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all café staff follow Dubai Municipality food safety guidelines and HACCP standards.
- Monitor daily sanitation practices, personal hygiene, and proper food handling procedures.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs.
Customer Service & Daily Café Operations
- Supervise day-to-day café service to maintain high standards of speed, cleanliness, and hospitality.
- Address customer feedback promptly and professionally.
- Support the team on the floor during peak hours or busy days.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in F&B operations, preferably as an F&B Supervisor or Café Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of café/kitchen workflow, equipment, and operational best practices.
- Experience assisting with menu development and basic recipe improvisation.
- Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HACCP standards.
- Demonstrated ability to train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team.
- Skilled in inventory control, ordering processes, and supplier coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to implement and improve SOPs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules.
