Job Summary
Ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's front-of-house service and upholding the highest standards of hospitality in a fine dining environment. This involves overseeing the dining room staff, coordinating guest seating, and assisting with service coordination to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to front-of-house staff while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
2. Provide leadership and direction to staff during service periods, guiding them to deliver exceptional hospitality and exceed guest expectations.
3. Monitor staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support as needed to maintain high service standards.
4. Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escorting them to their tables, and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
5. Anticipate guest needs and preferences, proactively addressing any concerns or special requests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
6. Engage with guests in a professional and courteous manner, responding to inquiries, providing menu recommendations, and assisting with menu selections.
7. Manage guest seating assignments, ensuring optimal table rotation and efficient use of dining space to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
8. Coordinate with the host/hostess to manage reservations, accommodate special requests, and maintain accurate records of table assignments and availability.
9. Monitor dining flow and adjust seating arrangements as necessary to minimize wait times and ensure a smooth service pace.
10. Assist in coordinating service activities, including order-taking, food and beverage delivery, and table maintenance, to ensure timely and seamless service.
11. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure that food is prepared and presented according to guest specifications and restaurant standards.
12. Address any service-related issues or discrepancies promptly, taking corrective action to resolve them and maintain guest satisfaction.
13. Assist in training new front-of-house staff on restaurant policies, service standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and professionalism in service delivery.
14. Provide ongoing coaching and support to existing staff, reinforcing best practices and promoting a positive work environment conducive to teamwork and excellence.
15. Ensure proper uniform and personal hygiene cleanliness at all time.
16. Performs other duties assigned.
Qualification, Experience & Knowledge
· Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, or equivalent.
· 5 to 6 years ‘experience in restaurant supervision in fine dining.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to inspire and motivate a team.
· Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for providing exceptional hospitality.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge in fine dining etiquette and service standards.
- Understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, POS).
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
