Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes
• Load and unload package shipments ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
• Navigate delivery routes efficiently, adhering to delivery and pick-up time commitments and traffic laws to maximize productivity
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages with professionalism and courtesy
• Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when necessary, and document all deliveries accurately
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing packages for delivery
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily truck pre and post-trip inspections to ensure optimal operation

Qualifications

• Prior delivery driver experience or courier background preferred but not required; familiarity with route driving is a plus
• At least 21 years of age; Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is desirable
• Ability to pass criminal background check, motor vehicle history, pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Physical ability to lift packages of all sizes, including heavy packages up to 150 lbs with the use of a 2-wheel dolly.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation
• Ability to work independently, follow directions precisely, and manage time effectively

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
