Job Summary:

The Support Operations Driver is responsible for safely transporting poultry feed between sites in support of the Utility Operations and Live Haul sectors. The primary responsibility includes the safe and timely delivery of equipment and feed, operating heavy machinery, and assisting with loading and unloading. Drivers will work with 10-speed double-bunk road trucks, supporting the Flock Services team. This position offers flexible daytime hours with the added benefit of being home every night. Job Duties:

• Perform duties in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Learn and understand the flow of finished feed in the mill and the layout of layer and pullet sites.
• Safely and accurately deliver finished feed to the appropriate locations (layers and pullets) from the feed mill.
• Ensure the correct feed is placed in the correct house.
• Collect, inspect, and bag samples of each load delivered.
• Ensure that the trailer is empty and clean after each delivery.
• Protect feed from contamination during loading, transport, and delivery.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure transportation equipment is in satisfactory condition.
• Report any deficiencies or issues with the truck to the feed mill manager or designee.
• Adhere to internal/external feed safety, biosecurity, and site safety policies and procedures as assigned.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of operating heavy machinery and equipment such as road trucks and hydraulic tailgates.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of poultry feed delivery and safety protocols.
• Tools/Software Proficiency: Ability to use simple computer programs for reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL for interstate or Ohio intrastate travel.

• At least 2 years work experience as a CDL driver
• Possession of a valid medical card.
• Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screen.
• Capable of using basic computer programs.
• Ability to work in various climate conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Strong work ethic and good attendance.
• Flexible hours, with the ability to adjust to varying schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating 10-speed double-bunk road trucks.
• Previous experience in poultry or agricultural transportation.
• Familiarity with biosecurity and feed safety standards.

Work Environment:

• The role involves regular driving and operating heavy machinery in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Employees may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and using hands to handle equipment during operations.
