Clemens Food Group is seeking a Maintenance & Project Manager to oversee maintenance operations, capital projects, and team development at our Feed Mill facility. This hands-on leadership role ensures the facility runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all company standards and biosecurity policies.
Repair & Maintenance Management
Lead preventative maintenance programs; ensure SOPs are developed, followed, and continuously improved.
Schedule and complete preventive maintenance tasks on time and according to department checklists.
Oversee repair scheduling, work order management, and communication with Feed Mill operations.
Manage maintenance and repair budgets.
Conduct root cause investigations for critical failures.
Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues.
Project Management
Participate in capital expenditure planning and approvals.
Identify and recommend capital projects and repairs.
Develop and manage capital budgets and construction timelines.
Serve as project manager for construction and improvement projects from start to close.
Training & Team Development
Train and coach maintenance staff to ensure consistent, high-quality work.
Facilitate cross-training and ensure standard operating procedures are followed across shifts.
Coordinate and provide technical training for maintenance team members.
Vendor Management
Support vendor selection, negotiations, and contract discussions.
Communicate company biosecurity and safety policies to all vendors.
Participate in vendor product and equipment evaluations.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications (Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, or Fabrication) a plus.
Hands-on mechanical, electrical, and fabrication experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including physical labor (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs).
Comfortable working in a livestock farming environment (dust, odors, variable temperatures).
Availability to work Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
Meet all biosecurity and animal welfare requirements.

Perform frequent movement throughout the production area (up to 85% of the time).
Regularly use, inspect, and maintain equipment, including climbing ladders and working in variable conditions.
Safely handle tools and materials weighing up to 75 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs).
