Duties

• Monitor inmate activities through CCTV surveillance and conduct regular visual inspections to ensure safety and compliance with facility rules
• Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively
• Enforce security protocols by controlling access points, verifying identities, and conducting searches for contraband or unauthorized items
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to medical emergencies within the facility
• Write detailed reports documenting incidents, inmate behavior, and security breaches with clarity and accuracy
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to support operational needs
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incident logs, and security checks to ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No Felony or Serious Misdemeanor Convictions
• Pass a thorough background check
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Basic Computer Knowledge with the ability and willingness to learn new technology processes
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and strict adherence to confidentiality protocols
• Physical fitness to perform duties that require standing, walking, or responding swiftly in high-pressure scenarios
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with inmates, staff, visitors, and external agencies

Pay: From $28.50 per hour
