Position Overview

The Junior Barista at COMO Lounge is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves learning the craft of coffee preparation particularly with calibration, assisting with Senior Barista, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

• Assist in preparing a variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages following company recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all drinks served.

Customer Service:

• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately and responding to any questions about the menu.
• Maintain a high level of customer service by providing quick and efficient service during busy periods.

Stock and Inventory:

• Assist in managing stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients to ensure seamless service.
• Inform the Senior Barista or Supervisor when stock levels are low and assist in the restocking process.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Ensure the coffee station and equipment are clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas regularly.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the seating area when needed.

Learning and Development:

• Actively participate in training sessions to improve coffee-making skills, product knowledge, and customer service techniques.
• Stay updated on new coffee brewing techniques and products offered by COMO Lounge.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Senior Barista, Supervisor, and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Be a team player and help out during peak hours or when requested by supervisors.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a barista is an advantage but not required. Enthusiasm for coffee and customer service is essential.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of coffee preparation is preferred but training will be provided.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy times.

Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other team members and assist in various tasks as needed.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring that drinks are prepared and served to a high standard of quality.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift light to moderate weights when restocking supplies upstairs to downstairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,400.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
