Female Massage Therapist

A massage therapist performs different kind of massages on clients to improve circulation, promote relaxation, and relieve stress, pain, and injuries. The massage therapist will consult with guests to screen them for underlying conditions, and to assist with selecting appropriate services. You will assist guests with inquiries, and explain treatments and packages in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing (as applicable).
• Designs specific sessions based on members or guests individual needs.
• Creates excellent member/guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude.
• Massage soft body tissues to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance or medical conditions.
• Apply pressure to specific parts of the body with the hands and fingers to release muscle tension and bring relief.
• Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment.
• Propose final massage plans to clients and implement them only after client acceptance and agreement.
• Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms.
• Prepare oil blends for clients’ skin and perform other treatment techniques and therapies in addition to massage.

Skills:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 2+ years of work experience as a massage therapist in a Spa or Health Club.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From KD350.000 per month
