Female Nurse/Caregiver

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Live-In Nurse Caregiver who is currently available in UAE and ready to join immediately to provide dedicated care and support to a bed-ridden patient suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to the patient's medical and personal needs, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

Medical Care:

Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per the physician's instructions.
Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status of the patient regularly.
Assist with mobility exercises and positioning to prevent bedsores.
Implement strategies to manage pain and discomfort effectively.

Personal Care:

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide assistance with transfers and mobility using appropriate aids and techniques.
Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.

Nutritional Support:

Prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals based on the patient's dietary requirements.
Monitor and assist with feeding if necessary.
Maintain awareness of any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Emotional and Social Support:

Foster a positive and supportive environment for the patient.
Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance the patient's mental well-being.
Provide companionship and emotional support to alleviate feelings of isolation.

Communication:

Maintain clear and effective communication with the patient's family and healthcare team.
Report any changes in the patient's condition promptly.
Document daily activities, medications administered, and any notable observations.

Safety and Environment:Ensure a safe and hazard-free living environment.
Implement infection control measures to prevent illness.
Oversee the proper functioning of medical equipment and assistive devices.

Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to implement and adjust the patient's care plan as needed.
Attend medical appointments with the patient if required.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing credentials
• Prior experience in caring for patients with Multiple Sclerosis or similar conditions.
• Strong knowledge of MS symptoms, treatments, and care protocols.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Physical stamina and flexibility to meet the demands of caregiving.

Working Conditions:

• This is a live-in position, and the caregiver will reside in the patient's home
• The caregiver should be prepared for potential emotional and physical challenges associated with caring for a patient with a chronic illness.
