Job Responsibilities of a Salon Receptionist
- Greet and welcome clients warmly upon arrival.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments.
- Maintain and update appointment booking systems.
- Provide information about salon services, promotions, and products.
- Handle client inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality.
- Keep the reception area neat, clean, and presentable at all times.
- Coordinate with hairstylists, beauticians, and other staff for smooth workflow.
- Upsell salon services, treatments, and retail products when possible.
- Manage inventory of reception-related supplies.
- Ensure compliance with salon policies and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with booking systems.
- Professional appearance with a friendly and welcoming personality.
