Qualification : MBBS with 2-3 years experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Management
- Perform initial assessment and stabilization of emergency patients.
- Provide immediate treatment for life-threatening conditions (e.g., cardiac arrest, trauma, stroke, poisoning, respiratory distress).
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations (labs, X-rays, ultrasound, ECG).
- Initiate appropriate management plans and refer to specialists if required.
- Ensure timely documentation of clinical findings, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals.
- Emergency Procedures
- Perform resuscitation (BLS & ACLS protocols).
- Manage trauma cases according to ATLS guidelines.
- Insert IV lines, urinary catheters, NG tubes, and manage airway support (intubation, ventilation).
- Conduct minor surgical and emergency procedures (suturing, wound care, abscess drainage, fracture immobilization).
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with nursing staff, paramedics, and consultants for effective patient management.
- Communicate with patients and attendants regarding condition, treatment plan, and prognosis.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate inpatient departments or tertiary care centers when needed.
- Administrative & Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate patient medical records in the ER.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and medico-legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining ER statistics.
- Training & Development
- Supervise and guide junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff in emergency care.
- Participate in CME, drills, and training programs (e.g., disaster management, mass casualty handling).
