New Direction Fertility Centers is a growing fertility practice based in Gilbert, Arizona, serving patients throughout the East Valley and surrounding areas. We provide individualized fertility care for patients pursuing options such as IVF, IUI, fertility preservation, genetic testing coordination, and other reproductive treatments.

Our team includes reproductive endocrinologists, embryology professionals, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff who work closely together to support patients through one of the most important journeys of their lives. We are looking for an experienced Fertility Medical Assistant who understands the pace, precision, and emotional importance of reproductive medicine. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with blood draws and procedures, and able to communicate clearly with both patients and providers.

Position Summary

The Fertility Medical Assistant plays an important role in supporting daily clinic operations and helping patients move smoothly through their care. This position works directly with providers, nurses, and coordinators to prepare patients for visits, assist during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong organization, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm and professional when schedules change. Prior fertility clinic experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform venipuncture and assist with lab-related clinical tasks
  • Administer injections as directed by providers
  • Assist physicians during procedures including ultrasounds, IUIs, saline infusion sonograms, office hysteroscopy, and egg retrieval-related procedures
  • Take and document patient vital signs
  • Prepare patients for appointments and procedures
  • Room patients efficiently and help maintain provider flow throughout the day
  • Prepare, clean, stock, and turn over exam and procedure rooms
  • Gather new patient intake information and confirm required documentation is complete
  • Communicate schedule updates or patient-flow issues to providers and team members
  • Provide patients with clear instructions related to their treatment plan
  • Accurately relay patient messages and return phone calls as appropriate
  • Assist with stimulation sheet documentation and scheduling updates
  • Support clerical and clinical tasks needed for smooth daily operations
  • Anticipate provider needs and assist proactively during clinic sessions
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion in all patient interactions

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fertility clinic, IVF clinic, or IUI/IVF practice setting
  • Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within one month of hire
  • Strong phlebotomy skills and comfort performing frequent blood draws
  • Ability to work in a busy clinical environment with changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Dependable, organized, and team-oriented

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has hands-on fertility experience and understands that fertility care is both medically detailed and emotionally sensitive. You should be comfortable working closely with patients, physicians, and clinical staff while helping keep the day organized and efficient.

Pay: $18.50 - $27.50 per hour
