Fertilizer Applicator Technician

Overview

Duties

• Operate machinery, including sprayers, spreaders, and other equipment to apply fertilizers, pesticides.
• Use hand tools and power tools to prepare equipment for daily operations, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Assist with pest control measures by applying appropriate treatments.
• Conduct pre-operation safety checks on all machinery and tools to ensure safe working conditions.
• Maintain detailed records of application activities, including materials used, areas treated, and operational notes for compliance purposes.
• Drive company vehicles or farm machinery safely between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.

Experience

• Prior experience working with machinery, power tools, or landscaping equipment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of agriculture practices including fertilization techniques, pest control methods, and land management principles.
• Familiarity with sales techniques can be beneficial when advising clients on products or services.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance or land preparation tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating farm vehicles or large machinery preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures meticulously while handling chemicals or operating heavy equipment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients in diverse agricultural settings.
