Fiber Optic and Cat5 Cabling Technicians

Job Summary
We are actively seeking motivated Fiber Optic and Cat5 Cabling Technicians to join our dynamic team! Duties

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables, including performing precise splicing and testing to ensure optimal signal transmission
• Set up and configure network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches, and Ethernet systems in accordance with industry standards
• Conduct cable pulls, routing, and termination of Cat5/Cat6 cabling in commercial environments
• Use hand tools, low voltage testers, ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to troubleshoot and verify cable integrity
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing cabling infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols
• Document installation processes, test results, and system configurations accurately for project records
• Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently and effectively

Requirements

• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, or telecommunication field service roles
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and testing devices such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring standards and telephony systems
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and basic network configuration is highly desirable
• Electrical experience or background in low voltage wiring is a plus
• Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance
