Field Construction Coordinator – Power (ID#6601)

We’re seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to support our power and utility projects in Liberty, NY. The ideal candidate will help oversee on-site construction activities, contractor performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor construction progress with project leadership
• Lead and participate in project meetings; review contractor schedules
• Conduct on-site observations, resolve field issues, and maintain project logs
• Review contractor invoices, materials, and documentation for accuracy
• Manage outage requests and ensure compliance with ROW standards
• Support safety programs through inspections, briefings, and incident reporting
• Track corrective actions and ensure full compliance with safety policies
• Conduct environmental and quality inspections, maintain test and inspection records
• Verify materials, drawings, and SAP/ProjectWise documentation
• Support project closeout and as-built documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility field operations
• Strong knowledge of power transmission, distribution, and substation construction
• Experience with contractor oversight, safety, and quality programs
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience preferred
• Ability to walk transmission ROWs and distribution lines in varied terrain
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel within the service area as needed

Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• Background check clearance
• OSHA 30-hour safety certification
• First Aid / AED certification
