Field Estimator - General Contracting

AKAP General Contracting is a growing Las Vegas-based construction firm seeking a skilled and detail-oriented field estimator to join our team. In this role, you will work directly on job sites and with project managers to develop accurate, competitive estimates that help us win bids and deliver projects profitably. What you'll do

Perform on-site takeoffs and field measurements to produce detailed, accurate project estimates

Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost breakdowns for residential and commercial projects

Review blueprints, specs, and scope of work documents to ensure complete and competitive bids

Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and verify pricing
Submit professional, well-organized proposals and bid packages on time and within budget targets

Track and document estimate outcomes to improve future bid accuracy

You must be able to estimate across all facets of residential general contracting, including:

Plumbing & leak repair

Electrical & lighting

Full home renovations

Drywall & finishing

Paint & interior finishes

Flooring & tile

Carpentry & framing

Kitchen & bath remodels

All other facets of residential general contracting

What we're looking for

3+ years of estimating experience in residential general contracting covering multiple trades

Polished, professional appearance and demeanor — you will be in clients' homes representing our brand

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to build trust with homeowners quickly

Strong understanding of plumbing, electrical, drywall, framing, and finish work — enough to spot issues and price them accurately

Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Buildertrend, or similar)

Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license — daily travel to job sites throughout the Las Vegas metro area

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates simultaneously without dropping the ball

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
