Field Interviewer

ANIK is seeking Experience Ambassadors- Field Interviewers. Bilingual speakers preferably, all welcome to apply For a project starting October 7th - January 2026, for AC Transit. This is an entry level customer service position. You will be hired to conduct interviews with riders onboard. It is a tablet survey, plotting start and end locations on Google Maps for market research to improve transit in the Oakland area. High demand for All Bilingual, however everyone is welcome to apply!

Schedule will be 5 days each week, excluding holidays.

Project Dates: Oct 7th- January, 2026

Shift Times: AM, 5:00am-1:00pm; PM, 2:00pm-10:00pm approx.

Training Date: AM: Tuesday, Oct 7th, 2025 & PM: Wednesday, Oct 8th

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Pay rate: $25.00 per hour

Report Location

• Report locations will be throughout the East Bay area.
• Parking may be available at some locations while others may not have parking.

Responsibilities

Experience Ambassadors are responsible for:

• Arriving at their pre-scheduled location on time.
• Connect in-person with travelers to request their participation in a 5 minute questionnaire.
• Conduct one on one interviews, passengers will not use the tablet.
• Return to starting location to return equipment, receive supervisor feedback, and receive a report time and location for the following day.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Punctual.
• Outgoing and natural communicator.
• Bilingual in English and any other language is encouraged, but not required.
• Excited about community improvement and innovation.
• Ability to stand on moving transportation for extended periods.
• Proficient in Apple iPad and Google maps.
• At least 18 years of age

Attire:

• Comfortable shoes preferably with rubber soles for safety (high heels not recommended)
• No T-shirts with graphic designs
• Pants with no tears or sagging
• No facial tattoos or facial piercings
