Field Marketing Manager - NY

We are excited to return to the New York market and are seeking a Field Marketing Manager to re-establish and grow Botanica’s brand footprint in this developing market. Our portfolio includes Mr. Moxey’s and Journeyman, sold in select states throughout the country.
Job description
The Field Marketing Manager will act as a liaison between sales and marketing, reporting to the Regional Director of Sales. Through both external and internal relationships, the Field Marketing Manager will establish the brand’s footprint in market and drive velocity through consistent promotional activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in field marketing and an appreciation for sales and will demonstrate excellent communication skills.
This team member will be expected to be in the field, building relationships with retail managers and budtenders, and translating brand strategies into localized execution with an eye towards local sales goals. Knowledge of the cannabis market in their territory is a plus so as to support becoming a market expert. Though not a sales role, the Field Marketing Manager will communicate sales opportunities such as shortages of product/opportunities for placement to sales while not fully executing on the sales element. In addition to being the local market leader for all marketing execution, the Field Marketing Manager will also manage the market’s Brand Ambassadors and their execution of marketing activities including vendor days. This role will act as a marketing leader with an attention to sales.

Employment Structure
Botanica may structure this role as either a W-2 employee or independent contractor depending on business needs and candidate qualifications. Final classification will comply with applicable federal and state laws.
Compensation
If hired as a W-2 employee, the salary for this role is $68,000 - $70,000 annually and includes eligibility for company-sponsored benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. The salary range listed represents Botanica’s good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
If structured as an independent contractor (1099), compensation will be separately negotiated to reflect contractor status, scope of work, and market factors. Independent contractors are not eligible for employee benefits.
Final employment classification will comply with applicable federal and state laws and will be determined based on role structure and working relationship.
