Job Description – Business Development Executive

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Department: Business Development / Sales

Location: Vijayawada (AP)

Reporting To: Business Development Manager / Director

Job Purpose:

To identify potential clients, promote company services, generate leads, and support the business development team in acquiring and retaining customers related to DGFT, Customs, and Export–Import compliance services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach prospective clients who require services such as IEC Registration, EPCG License, Advance Authorization, MEIS/SEIS claims, Duty Refunds, and other DGFT/Customs-related compliance support.
  • Conduct direct visits, cold calls, email campaigns, and networking to generate leads and convert them into active clients.
  • Present company service offerings, explain processes, and clarify basic documentation requirements to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal documentation/operations teams to ensure smooth processing of client applications and service execution.
  • Maintain client follow-up schedules, track lead status, and update CRM/lead tracker regularly.
  • Support the BD Manager in preparing quotations, proposals, and service agreements.
  • Collect necessary documents from clients and ensure accurate submission for processing.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay informed about basic DGFT/Customs scheme updates to explain benefits to clients.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly MIS reports on leads, meetings, conversions, and follow-ups.

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in client interaction and field visits.
  • Ability to learn trade-related schemes and explain them to clients.
  • Good negotiation and relationship-building ability.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and task-oriented.

Educational Qualification:

B.Com / BBA / MBA (Marketing) or equivalent.

Experience:

2 to 4 Years of experience in Sales / Marketing / Business Development (preferably in service industry).

Freshers with strong interest in field sales may also be considered.

Language Proficiency:

English and Hindi (Required)

Local Language proficiency is an added advantage.

Work Conditions:

Field travel for client visits required.

Flexibility to meet clients beyond office hours when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
