Field Sales Representative – Sports Turf, Fencing & Security Systems


Join a well-established leader in sports and turf construction, now expanding its footprint in fencing, access control, and security systems. As a Field Sales Representative, you’ll work directly with clients across a defined region to help bring athletic fields, fencing solutions, and secure facility perimeters to life. This is a relationship-driven role with a strong technical component, ideal for someone who understands construction timelines and enjoys guiding customers from concept to contract.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop and manage a pipeline of general contractors, schools, municipalities, and private owners across your region.
  • Sell Diverse Solutions: Represent our full range of offerings including:
    • Athletic field construction (baseball, soccer, multi-use)
    • Fencing (chain link, decorative, security)
    • Gate operators and access control systems
  • Conduct Site Visits: Meet with clients on-site to assess needs, take measurements, and offer product or service recommendations.
  • Prepare Proposals: Collaborate with estimators and operations to deliver accurate bids and timelines.
  • Support Project Handoff: Ensure a smooth transition to project management after the sale, staying involved as needed to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Attend Industry Events: Participate in local trade shows, lunch-and-learns, or school board/vendor meetings to grow visibility in your territory.

Travel & Territory

  • Territory-Based: You’ll primarily cover the central to northern WI territory (not coast-to-coast).
  • Moderate Travel: Expect day trips depending on project or client needs — typically within driving range.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years of sales experience in construction, fencing, sports turf, or a related trade.
  • Strong sales experience, cold calling, business development, in the field “go-getter”
  • Ability to read site plans and communicate technical concepts to both contractors and end users.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills — able to manage a pipeline and hit targets consistently.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in the field and independently.
