Field Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions.

* Promote and sell medical equipment/healthcare technology solutions to doctors, biomedical engineers, and procurement teams.

* Provide technical demonstrations, product presentations, and training sessions to healthcare professionals.

* Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions based on technical and clinical needs.

* Support installation and commissioning of medical equipment in coordination with service engineers.

* Collaborate with internal technical/service teams to ensure smooth delivery and after-sales support.

* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms in line with company policies.

* Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

* Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customer interactions.

* Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Competencies

* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex medical equipment or technology.

* Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills.

* Ability to build credibility and trust with doctors, biomedical engineers, and hospital administrators.

* Problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach.

* Time management and ability to work independently in the field.

* Proficiency in MS Office .

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical field.

* 1–3 years of experience in healthcare/medical equipment sales (freshers with technical background and strong communication skills may be considered).

* Understanding of medical equipment and healthcare technology applications.

Work Environment

* Frequent travel to client sites (hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers).

* Field-based role with regular product demos, client meetings, and equipment installations.

* May involve extended hours, emergency client visits, and participation in healthcare exhibitions/workshops.
