Job Description:
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $117,600 - $176,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position: Field Service Manager
Location: Linthicum Heights, MD - and surrounding area
This individual in this role has 7+ years’ experience in this industry and a minimum of 3 years in a non-managerial role, the leading activity of other project team members on-site, or direct management of employees in a prior managerial role. They already possess the knowledge of advanced understanding of HVAC and Security industry, as well as safety and commissioning processes and best practices. The individual demonstrates excellent customer service and leadership skills. As a manager, will interview, hire, train, mentor, evaluate and when necessary, terminate operations personnel or make related recommendations. Responsible for the administration of company polices including safety, utilization, tools, and training/development. This position is also responsible for managing operations personnel in accordance with company and HR policies and procedures. This position typically reports to a service operations Manager.

Direct management responsibility of Field Service technicians and customers within a service district defined by a geographic area.

Oversights of field operations between SE and our customer to ensure efficient and effective implementation of operational expectations of US Service Operations. Although not utilized on job sites, the FM is expected to spend 50% of their time in the field with techs, customers and sales personnel.

Conduct monthly safety meetings, perform FSR site safety audits, and ensure the district is in compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Partner with Scheduling teams, Logistics, Technical Support, Engineering and Sales groups within the FSM’s assigned district. You are accountable for proper scheduling and utilization of employees within the team.

Develop and coordinate all technician training and qualification plans.

Ensure techs are properly indoctrinated into SE’s corporate culture and policies. Mentor techs in order to maximize SE’s business opportunities and attain the technicians’ personal career goals.

Ensure technician is complying with all administrative processes and field service reporting requirements.

Oversee the technician Recommended Repair Sales Lead process and ensure optimal participation.

Rive KPSs as defined by management to maximize Service goals to identify weaknesses and make corrections in order to enhance service delivery.

Perform annual and midyear performance reviews for employees. Establish performance goals or employees.

Perform regular site visits and 1:1 meetings with direct reports.

Find opportunities to interact with customers to assess how the team is performing, incorporate feedback into department ways of working.

Contribute to departmental or branch strategic planning.

Ensure direct reports are properly equipped with tools and safety PPE required to perform their responsibilities on customer sites.

Stay informed of new developments in field tools and safety technology ad apply them to projects or business processes as required.

Assist sales personnel in the review of project cost estimates, assist in the creation of sales stage deliverables.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems wiring, hardware, and software install, replace and re-commission control systems devices, equipment and software.
