Trane is looking for a Field Service Representative to support our data center customers. You serve as first point of contact for technical enquiries, attending site meetings with other commissioning vendors or decision makers on site, working closely with the project manager to understand the client’s schedule prioritization and allocate technicians and resources accordingly on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnoses and repairs of equipment and systems at customer’s location.
• Perform complex preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests.
• Perform complex repairs of mechanical and electro-mechanical components of productive and non-productive equipment and machinery.
• Carrying out commissioning and take part in planned on call duties.
• Daily reporting of hours and activities by means of a digital work order, inspection list and time sheet to the Service Department.
• Managing own stock, materials, tools, and PPE in the service vehicle.
• Frequent trips to our factory in France (Epinal) to follow up on orders and ensure everything runs smoothly and meets customer requirements.

Qualifications/ Key Competencies

This role plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by servicing complex products and equipment on assigned projects.

• Able to effectively manage complex technical projects.
• Effectively communicate, negotiate, and influence different stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally, and leading by example through adhering to the leadership principles.
• May provide coaching, act as subject matter expert for less experienced technicians and customers and may provide sales support to account managers.
• Ability to perform all work in the service and maintenance field on all major types of equipment.
• Able to work under limited supervision.
• Use cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• This role requires previous relevant experience in refrigeration or HVAC technology or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.
• In possession of a European F-gas certificate.
• Several years’ experience at Field Service Representative level
• Current clean driver’s license
• Strong ability to work flexibly across multiple locations.
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Good laptop experience is preferred.
