Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Field Service Representative specializing in electrical systems to join our team. In this role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for delivering exceptional technical service, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and ensuring optimal operation of equipment across various manufacturing facilities. Duties
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within manufacturing facilities, including high voltage and low voltage equipment.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and industrial mechanical components.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Work safely with high-voltage systems and adhere to all safety protocols related to industrial electrician practices.
- Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on electrical components and system upgrades during customer interactions.
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely while performing field service tasks.
- Collaborate with clients to analyze operational issues, recommend solutions, and ensure minimal downtime during repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience; OR completion of an accredited trade school/program + 5+ years evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to obtain/maintain a valid TWIC card and DOT non-CDL qualification (if required)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- 1+ year of field service experience with electrical distribution or control systems
- Electrical or General Contractor's License
- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Experience with power quality measurements, protective relay testing/troubleshooting
- NICET/NETA certification
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
