Field Service Representative - Electrical

Duties

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within manufacturing facilities, including high voltage and low voltage equipment.
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
• Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and industrial mechanical components.
• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Work safely with high-voltage systems and adhere to all safety protocols related to industrial electrician practices.
• Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on electrical components and system upgrades during customer interactions.
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely while performing field service tasks.
• Collaborate with clients to analyze operational issues, recommend solutions, and ensure minimal downtime during repairs or upgrades.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and quality assurance purposes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience; OR completion of an accredited trade school/program + 5+ years evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid TWIC card and DOT non-CDL qualification (if required)
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• 1+ year of field service experience with electrical distribution or control systems
• Electrical or General Contractor's License
• Professional Engineering (PE) License
• Experience with power quality measurements, protective relay testing/troubleshooting
• NICET/NETA certification

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
