Position: Compression Mechanic

Schedule: Monday-Friday & on call as necessary.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

Provided: Company Truck, All Tools, Gas Card, Cell Phone, Laptop, PPE.

We are seeking a Field Service Technician who is motivated, safety-minded, and eager to develop their skills in the natural gas compression field. This position offers hands-on experience and on-the-job training, working alongside experienced compression technicians and field personnel. You will assist with day-to-day operations, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting while gaining knowledge of compression equipment, engines, and field processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of natural gas compression equipment
• Support diagnostics, troubleshooting, and adjustments under the guidance of senior technicians
• Help with equipment start-ups, shutdowns, and routine operational checks
• Follow procedures to maintain equipment within emissions standards and environmental guidelines
• Learn and apply safe work practices around rotating equipment, high pressures, and hot surfaces
• Complete JSA’s and follow all company safety policies
• Assist with setting, installing, and removing compression units at field locations

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning the natural gas compression industry
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians and follow instructions
• Basic computer skills (training provided for diagnostic tools/software)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Dependable, safety-focused, and motivated to grow within the role
• Ability to meet physical job demands (lifting, climbing, working outdoors in various weather)
• Preferred but not required: Experience with engines, compressors, or oilfield operations

Work Schedule

This position is required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and some holidays based upon a predetermined work schedule. Typical operations run 24/7. Schedule may vary based on Field Operations.
