Field Service Technician

The Role
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to support our growing fleet operations in the UAE. This role is critical for monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the performance of our electric trucks and trailers. As the business grows, the technician will also support autonomous vehicle activities. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Monitoring & Management • Monitor performance and operational status of electric trucks and trailers. • Oversee connected vehicle systems and coordinate with operations teams to proactively address issues. Field Service & Troubleshooting • Perform diagnostics and repairs on 24-volt electrical systems, mechanical components, and onboard systems. • Respond to breakdowns, roadside emergencies, and field repair needs. • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on 6x4 electric trucks and 40-foot skeleton trailers. • Coordinate maintenance activities with third parties and manage logistics. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain accurate service records, diagnostic logs, and maintenance reports. • Provide feedback to fleet operations and management for continuous improvement. Travel & Coordination • Travel within the UAE and occasionally internationally for training, customer support, or project requirements. • Collaborate effectively with customer representatives, internal teams, and external partners to ensure successful field operations.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience: • Minimum 5 years experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailer systems. • Experience in a high-paced, 24x7 operations environment. • Strong knowledge of 24-volt diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting. • Solid understanding of basic mechanical principles for trucks and trailers. • Experience with electric commercial vehicles is an advantage. • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and use diagnostic tools. • Experience working on trailers is preferred. • Possession of a heavy-duty truck driving license is a plus (minimum manual car license required). • Flexibility to work outside regular hours for breakdowns or urgent field tasks. • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset. • Urdu, Punjabi, or Hindi speaking mandatory for communication with drivers. • Willingness and ability to travel as required What We Offer: • Opportunity to work with advanced electric and emerging autonomous vehicle technologies. • Company-provided work-based transportation. • Competitive salary and benefits package. • Training and development supported by Einride. • A dynamic and innovative work environment at the forefront of sustainable freight technology
